Meeting Growing Demands: Can You Scale With Cloud-Based Mobile Access Control?

Cloud-based mobile access control systems offer many benefits, including cost, security, and convenience. You can also scale these systems to match demand.

Most companies use access control systems to protect their facilities. But as an organization grows, the entry systems must keep pace with its evolving needs. A new generation of cloud-based mobile technology can scale to meet the growth demands of companies more easily than ever.

Sentry Interactive’s cloud-based mobile access control system is faster, less expensive, and easier to install or upgrade against anything else on the market today. This makes it the ideal solution to meet dynamic needs of access management. Let’s face it: organizations change, so you need a system that can change with you.

Scalability Benefits: Harnessing the Flexibility of Cloud-Based Mobile Access Control

With access control systems based in the cloud, it’s relatively easy to expand your solution. As your needs increase, simply add more users through the software application. With Sentry Interactive’s cloud-based mobile solution, you can quickly install more wireless door credentials as needed to secure more rooms.

Cloud systems offer scalability benefits for many other areas as well. For example, think of how easy it is to add users to office software, media streaming sites, or practically any other service.

Sentry Interactive’s technology can handle any security requirement based on its flexible cloud native solution. It allows for proprietary access control systems to be converged into a single pane of glass for management. Whether you’re managing a gym franchise, healthcare center, office complex, university, or any other facility doesn’t matter. Moving your access control system to the cloud offers the most effective and efficient way to manage your access control ecosystem. Consolidating buildings and multiple sites under a unified view offers the ultimate in security management and monitoring.

It costs much less to scale up a cloud-based solution than a conventional approach that requires physical credentials. Gone are the substantial costs of producing new access cards or fobs. Instead, you have budget-friendly pricing options that scale with your company. And no matter how many different sites you have or where they’re located, you can manage the whole cloud system remotely. No other access control solution provides scalability as easily as Sentry Mobile Access.

Expanding Access Control Without Any Physical Hardware Infrastructure Changes

A Sentry Interactive cloud-based mobile entry system makes adding doors to your access control network easy. Instead of making extensive hardware infrastructure changes —HID reports new door locks and reader hardware and installation costs range between $4,000–$5,000, and a cost of $53 per user to add for access—it’s now only a matter of quickly deploying mobile access and wireless door credentials, making the Sentry Interactive Solution unique in its simplicity and ease of install.

Bringing additional doors online with the Sentry Mobile Access cloud-based system has additional cost-saving implications as well: the cloud technology enables the use of smartphones for building entry, reducing the cost of issuing new keycards and fobs.

For larger companies, office space management has become an important issue. With the transition toward hybrid work environments, there are more challenges now than ever to getting the most out of available desks, offices, and conference rooms.

It’s all the more important to arrange floor use well. Mobile access control systems like Sentry Interactive Mobile Access can integrate with property management solutions to enhance your space management.

Streamlining Access Control Management

Cloud-based mobile access control systems help companies scale up or down. This technology lets you easily add or remove doors, users, and other resources from the access control network without disrupting operations. Again, the system’s simplicity makes it more efficient and adjustable than alternatives.

The ease of adding or removing doors streamlines your access control management. You can freely control who may enter which doors at any time. Forget wasting time and resources on complex processes. As your organization grows or changes Sentry Interactive’s affordable solutions make it easy to adjust.

The Benefits of Comprehensive Access Control

Mobile access control dramatically improves building security and boosts efficiency. Smartphones and similar devices already include powerful security features like multi-factor authentication. Now, they can also be a convenient way to control building entry. If someone loses their mobile device, simply deactivate that person’s credentials. You no longer have to worry about lost, stolen, or damaged keys or fobs.

Cloud-based (native)access control systems that are built around mobility can be managed from one central location. You can also monitor real-time events and use the insights to optimize traffic flow. For instance, you can examine the number of people going through each door and respond to trends. It’s a smarter way to determine who can go where.

Streamlined access control management also makes it easier to manage employees and visitors. It’s especially valuable for multi-tenant sites and large properties—a high-tech solution that can easily automate the flow of people.

Finally, a modern system like Sentry Interactive’s Mobile Access is much more convenient. It doesn’t require people to carry anything beyond what they would already have with them, their smartphone. There’s also no need for front desk staff to keep a register of issued visitor passes and distribute new or replacement access cards to staff. And because everything’s done instantly through the cloud, all these advantages can be scaled on demand.

Scalability Options: Factors to Keep in Mind

In growing your cloud-based mobile access control systems, consider a few things to make the process go smoothly. For instance, proper planning will pay dividends when it’s time to expand, as will careful system design and vendor support.

Of course, a cloud-based system does pose some risks. For instance, moving sensitive data to an internet-connected environment could become an easy target for cyberattacks. You’re also at risk for data leakage or loss.

A good provider can help you mitigate these risks. Companies using public/private key infrastructure maintain a persistent connection to ensure data stays secure throughout its entire journey. You should also conduct a cybersecurity risk assessment to uncover vulnerabilities in your system’s security. In addition, limit user access controls to only those functions needed for their specific role.

An effective solution from Sentry Interactive incorporates high-quality system design with support to deliver fast scalability. Banking-level security protects all processes, and internal policies align with the ISO27001 information security standard. The platform is based in certified, independently audited facilities and complies with data protection regulations.

The cloud interface makes managing doors and users effortless. You can also issue or revoke credentials at any place or time. It’s a well-rounded solution that you can scale up at will.
